Wileman Empire Teacup Trio
Antique Wileman Empire Teacup Trio

D E S C R I P T I O N
A pretty Wileman empire teacup trio set. This teacup set is in the empire style which was very fashionable in the late 1890s. The Wileman pottery manufactured earthenware and china at Foley Works in Fenton, the Potteries and traded between 1890 and 1925, it also sometimes known as Shelley or Foley. The Ivy pattern was registered in 1891 and used on the Empire shape in 1893. The set is in very good condition with just some minor discolouration to the saucer [see photos], otherwise the gold is in excellent condition with hardly any rubbed off. There are no chips or cracks but there is some crazing on the teacup and saucer.
